Southern Blaze was slow to begin.
Southern Blaze and Talkin' Palmer collided soon after the start checking Talkin' Palmer. Talkin' Palmer faltered approaching the first turn. Trish The Dish checked off Southern Blaze approaching the first turn. Trial Kennedy and Southern Blaze collided on the first turn causing Southern Blaze to contact the rail and resulting in Trial Kennedy and Trololo Man colliding causing both greyhounds to fall and severely checking Talkin' Palmer. Southen Blaze raced wide approaching the winning post.
