Steward's Report
New Fire Girl was quick to begin. Tarquin Bob and Airly With Grace were slow to begin.
Tarquin Bob, Airly With Grace and Little Bala collided soon after the start. Bring The Spring, Lucy Gem, Airly With Grace and Little Bala collided on the first turn checking Bring The Spring, severely checking Lucy Gem and Airly With Grace. Abby's Toy and Bring The Spring collided approaching the home turn checking Abby's Toy. New Fire Girl visible eased and turned its head on the home turn.
New Fire Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following event 12 - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Carr, the representative of New Fire Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) New Fire Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Carr pleaded guilty to the charge, New Fire Girl is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
