Capital Letters underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr P. Borradale was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Super Fay pursuant to GAR 33.

Muza's Belle and Super Fay collided soon after the start.  Akhenaten checked off Super Fay approaching the first turn.  All For Now and Blueflash Lenny collided approaching the first turn checking Blueflash Lenny.  Queen Lita and Cody's Success collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Muza's Belle and Super Fay collided on the first turn.  Super Fay clipped the heels of Cody's Success approaching the home turn.  Cody's Success and Akhenaten collided approaching the home turn.  Cody's Success checked off Super Fay on the home turn.

Stylish Evie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Our Centurion was slow to begin.

Kendra Vegas, Split Pea and Greysynd Blue collided soon after the start.  Mister Mercury and Janiya Bale collided soon after the start.  Split Pea and Greysynd Blue collided approaching the first turn checking Split Pea severely checking Kendra Vegas which lost ground as a result.  Frankie Moss checked off Mister Mercury approaching the home turn.  Victor Leone and Janiya Bale entering the home straight.  

Kendra Vegas underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 28 stand down period was imposed. 

Greysynd Mercury, Nimble Lucy and Keen Gem were quick to begin.

Blazin' About, Midnight Storm and Keen Gem collided soon after the start causing Midnight Storm to stumble.  Swift Abbey raced wide in the back straight.  Nimble Lucy and Keen Gem collided on the first turn severely checking Keen Gem.

Potere, Aston Xanadu, Broken Pieces and Galway Icon collided approaching the first turn checking Broken Pieces, severely checking Potere and Aston Xanadu.  Galloping Bluboy and Galway Icon collided on the first turn.

Mumma's Bear and Khaleesi Girl collided on the first turn checking Khaleesi Girl.  Belleperi Miss and Khaleesi Girl collided on the first turn checking Khaleesi Girl.  Mumma's Bear and Blonde Bella collided in the home straight.

Premier Jess and Assasins Code collided soon after the start.  Premier Jess, Assasins Code and Seeka Moment collided on the first turn checking Seeka Moment and severely checking Assasins Code which fell.  Paw Licious checked off Bluehawk Robert approaching the home turn.  Paw Licious and Premier Jess collided on the home turn.

Assasins Code underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left biceps brachii injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

New Fire Girl was quick to begin.  Tarquin Bob and Airly With Grace were slow to begin.

Tarquin Bob, Airly With Grace and Little Bala collided soon after the start.  Bring The Spring, Lucy Gem, Airly With Grace and Little Bala collided on the first turn checking Bring The Spring, severely checking Lucy Gem and Airly With Grace.  Abby's Toy and Bring The Spring collided approaching the home turn checking Abby's Toy.  New Fire Girl visible eased and turned its head on the home turn.

New Fire Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following event 12 - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Carr, the representative of New Fire Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) New Fire Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Carr pleaded guilty to the charge, New Fire Girl is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bill Heeny - Late scratching at 11:44am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr P. Elston was fined $100.

Venus Allen – New declared weight of 29.3kgs, last raced at 28.2kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Venus Allen. 

Smoke Signals, Jayanti and Architecture were slow to begin.

Architecture and Just Jimmy collided on the first turn.  Just Jimmy checked off Jayanti approaching the home turn.  

Mr P. Galea failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Venus Allen for racing.  Mr Galea was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

MEETING COMMENTS:

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 400mtrs with 6 required to trial. The winning time of trial was 22.80.

Twenty Tamur finished 1st, Kip Your Best finished 2nd, Spring Silver finished 3rd, Don’t Doubt Net finished 4th, Bushranger Boy was tailed off and Barroom Jewel failed to finish.  

Barroom Jewel – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as connections wish to apply blinkers to the greyhound. Weighing 26.7kgs and beginning from box 1 and failing to finish. Barroom Jewel was not cleared to race. Barroom Jewel underwent a post-trial veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor tendon, right shoulder injuries and a spike wound to the right forearm. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Spring Silver– Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a right hamstring injury. Weighing 30.0kgs and beginning from box 4 beaten by 15 ¾ lengths. Spring Silver has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Twenty Tamur – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as connections wish to apply blinkers to the greyhound. Weighing 30.5kgs and beginning from box 5 winning by 8 lengths. Twenty Tamur has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Don't Doubt Net – Was stood down from racing at Healesville for an unsatisfactory performance. Weighing 24.0kgs and beginning from box 6 beaten by 18 ¼ lengths.  Don't Doubt Net has been cleared to race all tracks except Healesville.

Kip Your Best – Was stood down from racing at Warragul for a fail to chase. Weighing 33.0kgs and beginning from box 7 beaten by 8 lengths.  Kip Your Best has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Bushranger Boy – Was stood down from racing at Healesville for fail to chase injury. Weighing 31.9kgs and beginning from box 8 and tailed off. Bushranger Boy has not been cleared to race due to failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.
