Steward's Report
Bundarra Magic – Late scratching at 9.03am when Mr. G. Couldridge reported the greyhound to have a toe injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Doran's Call, Tankalicious and Lights Of Tanjil were quick to begin. Aurora Miss and Wolf Point were slow to begin.
Tankalicious, Lights of Tanjil and Venus Allen collided approaching the first turn.
Doran's Call underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a left hind toe injury, a 5 day standdown period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. J. Fothergill regarding the performance of Doran's Call, which was below market expectaions. Ms. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was more suited to an outside draw, and performed better whan able to obtain a clear lead. Stewards noted the explanation.
