Doran's Call underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a left hind toe injury, a 5 day standdown period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. J. Fothergill regarding the performance of Doran's Call, which was below market expectaions. Ms. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was more suited to an outside draw, and performed better whan able to obtain a clear lead. Stewards noted the explanation.

Maximum Bliss was quick to begin.

Pookie Smurf – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Horsham for unsatisfactory performance. Weighing 25.3kg and beginning from box 1, Pookie Smurf completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 23.26. Pookie Smurf placed 3rd in a field of 4, beaten by 4.25L. Pookie Smurf has been cleared to race at all tracks except Horsham.

Mahjong Magic – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Warragul for failing to chase. Weighing 37.0kg and beginning from box 8, Mahjong Magic completed the 400m trial distance in a time of 22.95. Mahjong Magic placed 1st in a field of 4, winning by 3.25L. Mahjong Magic has been cleared to race at all tracks except Warragul.
