Steward's Report
Akina Spot was quick to begin. Sadarli and Slick Paws collided soon after the start. Champagne Rose, Mindil Beach and Causing Drama collided on the first turn checking Mindil Beach. Sadarli, Champagne Rose, Causing Drama, Slick Paws and French Sugar collided on the first turn checking Sadarli, Slick Paws and French Sugar. Mindil Beach checked off Slick Paws approaching the home turn. Champagne Rose and Causing Drama collided entering the home straight. Sadarli eased and turned its head to the inside in the home straight checking Sadarli and Champagne Rose severely checking Causing Drama. Sadarli fell approaching the catching pen.
Sadarli underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Wood declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Wood, the trainer of Sadarli regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Sadarli was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Wood pleaded guilty to the charge, Sadarli is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
