In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 21.3 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.9 degrees.

Shima Tune was quick to begin.

Super Zoom Jake, Lektra Yoyo and Shima Tune collided approaching the first turn checking Lizzie's Enity. Super Zoom Jake, Lektra Yoyo and Shima Tune collided on the first turn checking Rockstar Carmody, severely checking Super Zoom Jake and causing Shima Tune to fall as a result. Dust Storm raced wide to avoid the fallen greyhound.

Following the event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinty of the first turn and deemed the surface suitable for racing.

Mr. G Dailly failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Dust Storm for racing. Stewards spoke to Mr G. Dailly and accepted his explanation and issued a warning, pursuant to GAR 46 (2)

Super Zoom Jake underwent a post-race veterinary examination - and was found to have abrasions and spike wounds to both hind limbs. No stand down period was imposed.

Shima Tune underwent a post-race veterinary examination -  and was found to have a left foreleg tricep injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bonnie Girl.

Pandora's Blue and Joffa's Mayhem were slow to begin.

Bonnie Girl and Summer Siren collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Genesis crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Speed Twin and Express Blue. Express Blue checked off the heels of Speed Twin approaching the home turn. Short Tyson raced wide on the home turn. Bonnie Girl and Summer Siren collided on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide. Express Blue and Pandora's Blue collided entering the home straight. Bonnie Girl and Summer Siren collided in the home straight. Express Blue and Speed Twin collided approaching the winning post. 

Mr T. Boehmke was issued with a warning regarding his failure to produce their GRV licence in accordance with LRR 16.2.

Ashby Swift was slow to begin.

Blast Zone, Ashby Swift and Fab's Vera collided approaching the first turn checking Fab's Vera and Ashby Swift. Outlaw Legend and Rockstar Lincoln collided on the first turn. Blast Zone and Fab's Winnie collided approaching the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result. Ashby Swift and Fab's Winnie collided approaching the winning post.

Gotham Princess, Sharkey Dragon, Gettin' Bale and Classy Riot collided soon after the start checking Gettin' Bale. Sharkey Dragon and Quick Income collided approaching the first turn checking Quick Income. Aston Gwen crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Gotham Princess which lost ground and collided with Quick Income, also checking They Love Me and Gettin' Bale. Quick Income checked off the heels of Gotham Princess approaching the home turn. Classy Riot and Gettin' Bale raced wide on the home turn.

Gotham Princess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right forelimb laceration. No day stand down period was imposed.

Slingshot Titan was quick to begin.

Sanjiro, Slick Riot and Quillan Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Sanjiro. Sanjiro checked off the heels of Slick Riot on the first turn.

Miss Klara was quick to begin. Ernesto Bale was slow to begin.

Miss Klara checked off the heels of Tiggerlong Tonk approaching the first turn. Max Dynamo, Charging Yaala and Miss Klara collided on the first turn checking Miss Klara which collided with Ernesto Bale. Ernesto Bale checked off the heels of Miss Klara approaching the home turn. Charging Yaala raced wide on the home turn.

Leaving was quick to begin.

Gotham Duchess, Vixstar, Rose Royce and Leaving collided soon after the start checking Vixstar which lost ground as a result. Rose Royce checked off Leaving approaching the first turn. Vixstar, Rose Royce and Falconetti collided on the first turn checking Rose Royce and Falconetti. Gotham Duchess turned it's head outwards and collided heavily with Leaving and in turn collided with Rainbow Spirit entering the home straight. Gotham Duchess and Leaving collided in the home straight.

Gotham Duchess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right and left foreleg monkey and deltoid muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. S. Lithgow, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Gotham Duchess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Lithgow pleaded guilty to the charge, Gotham Duchess must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rockstar Beav, Rockstar Prince, Cailah Thai and Super Blu collided on the first turn checking Rockstar Prince. Living Daylights, Rockstar Beav, Cailah Thai and Kiss Me Razley collided in the back straight checking Living Daylights and Kiss Me Razley. Gloria Bale and Super Blu collided on the home turn.

Marshall Flyer was quick to begin.

Causing Drama, Gladioli Bale, Nobel Prize and Butterfish collided soon after the start checking Gladioli Bale, Nobel Prize and Butterfish. Gladioli Bale and Marshall Flyer collided on the first turn checking Marshall Flyer which lost ground as a result. Charmed and Butterfish raced wide on the home turn.
