Self Assured checked off the heels of Floppy Roo approaching the first turn.  Measured crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Absolute Pin.  Furnace Bale galloped on the heels of Edaline Bale approaching the home turn.  Floppy Roo and Edaline Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Floppy Roo, Edaline Bale and Furnace Bale collided on the home turn resulting in Floppy Roo, Edaline Bale and Furnace Bale to race wide.

April Joon, Princess Furreal and Nobel Prize collided soon after the start, checking Princess Furreal which lost ground as a result.  Sand Runner, Nobel Prize and Mighty Marshall collided approaching the first turn, checking Nobel Prize.  Mighty Marshall and Sand Runner collided on the home turn.  Hey There Sara, Princess Furreal and Cherokee Cash raced wide on the home turn.

Diama Miss was quick to begin. 

Nothing Ventured, Assertive and Ashby Swift collided on the first turn, checking Nothing Ventured and Assertive resulting in Nothing Ventured and Limburg Special to collide and check off Cordoza.  Limburg Special and Nothing Ventured collided on the home turn. Cordoza visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Cordoza underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr S. Cassar, the trainer of Cordoza regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Cordoza was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr S. Cassar pleaded guilty to the charge, Cordoza is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Spectral Blade and Triskelion were slow to begin. 

Triskelion crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Spectral Blade.  Push Start and Exford Lass collided on the first turn and again on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Midnight Hussler - the winner of the event.

Reiko Houdini and Thomeli Monster were slow to begin. 

Van Nindi and Snake Pit Lass collided soon after the start. Thomeli Monster, Snake Pit Lass, Keefe and Alita collided approaching the second turn. Keeping Busy commenced to lose ground from the third turn.  Alita checked off the heels of Thomeli Monster on the home turn.  Keefe and Snake Pit Lass raced wide on the home turn. 

Keeping Busy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re vetted following race nine - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Hamilton, the trainer of Keeping Busy,  regarding the greyhound's performance from the third turn onwards, from which point the greyhound raced uncompetitively. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory. Keeping Busy must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nominations will be accepted  

Weblec Haze was slow to begin. 

Weblec Haze, Magic Vogue and Ledgerwood Libby collided approaching the first turn, checking Magic Vogue.  Ledgerwood Libby, Cacophony and Rainbow Spirit collided on the first turn, checking Cacophony and Rainbow Spirit. Weblec Fire, Ledgerwood Libby and Rainbow Spirit raced wide on the home turn.

Lektra Caution, Three Toots and Mepunga Pegasus collided soon after the start.  Three Toots crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Lektra Caution which collided with Mepunga Pegasus. Lektra Caution raced wide on the home turn.

Vivatar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg carpal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
