Florentine Bale and Aston Riku collided soon after the start. Jagger's Joss clipped the heels of Dust Storm on the first turn and fell as a result.

Jagger's Joss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to multiple limbs. No stand down period was imposed.

Savannah Lee was slow to begin.

Crown Polly and Blast Zone collided soon after the start, checking Crown Polly. Leonard Bale checked off Aston Genesis on the first turn checking Shima Tune. Ellias Bale galloped on the heels of Shima Tune on the first turn, checking Shima Tune, Ellias Bale, Savannah Lee and Blast Zone. Ellias Bale and Shima Tune collided on the home turn checking Ellias Bale, Shima Tune, Rockstar Carmody and Blast Zone. Blast Zone and Ellias Bale raced wide as a result. Leonard Bale and Aston Genesis collided entering the home straight. Leonard Bale turned its head outwards and marred Aston Genesis approaching the winning post.

Leonard Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Dailly, the handler of Leonard Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Leonard Bale was charged with marring. Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Leonard Bale is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Gwen and Elvisa Bale were quick to begin.

Super Zoom Jake and Talented collided soon after the start checking Talented. Talented and Always Ho Ho collided approaching the first turn checking Always Ho Ho. Super Zoom Jake and Bago Go Go collided on the first turn checking Bago Go Go. Super Zoom Jake contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Always Ho Ho raced wide on the home turn. Bago Go Go and Super Zoom Jake collided in the home straight checking Super Zoom Jake. Aston Gwen and Lektra Yoyo collided approaching the winning post checking Lektra Yoyo. 

Phoebe's Angel and Streak Ahead collided soon after the start checking Phoebe's Angel. Begonia Bale, Latinize and Ivoria Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Ivoria Bale and severely checking Latinize which faltered and pulled up as a result. Phoebe's Angel raced wide on the home turn.

Phoebe's Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9 - Phoebe's Angel was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Latinize underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a Radius/Ulna Fracture. Latinize was humanely euthanased.

Novo Ollie and Couture were slow to begin. 

Mr. Milford and Mepunga Holly collided soon after the start. Run Fast Maggie checked off Cornhill Rebel on the first turn. Gardener's Boyo, Mepunga Holly and Couture collided in the back straight checking Mepunga Holly. Novo Ollie checked off Couture on the second turn. Debbie's Destiny and Couture raced wide in the home straight. Cornhill Rebel and Mr. Milford collided approaching the winning post. 

A post-race sample was taken from Debbie's Destiny - the winner of the event.

Stewards opened an inquiry into the circumstances pertaining to Debbie’s Destiny regurgitating a tablet in the swab bay post race. Evidence was taken from Mr. S. Bauer, the trainer of Debbie’s Destiny. Stewards also took possession of the tablet for analysis. Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed. 

Voller was quick to begin. Cruisy's Rose was slow to begin.

Neo Bale, Kissable and Vixstar collided soon after the start checking Kissable and Cruisy's Rose. Confront and Vixstar collided approaching the first turn checking Vixstar. Gendarme checked off Confront approaching the home turn and collided with Kraken Pennys resulting in Vixstar being checked. Confront and Kraken Pennys collided in the home straight. Voller and Cruisy's Rose collided approaching the winning post.

Petite Charlotte and Inga Ollie were slow to begin.

Madam Rosmerta, Bakali Jet and Beguile collided approaching the first turn checking Bakali Jet and Beguile. Petite Charlotte contacted the running rail on the first turn. Beguile and Falconetti collided on the first turn checking Beguile. inga Ollie, Madam Rosmerta and Hasta Manana collided on the first turn checking Inga Ollie and severely checking Madam Rosmerta and Bakali Jet, causing Bakali Jet to fall. Petite Charlotte and Inga Ollie collided on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from High Fusion- winner of the event.

Bakali Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fracture to the left Radius. Bakali Jet was humanely euthanased.

Following the event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinty of the first turn and deemed the surface safe for racing.

An out of competition sample was taken from Kraken Buster on Tuesday, 7th of January pursuant to GAR 79A.

Super Blu, Midnight Mystery, Fast Izzi and Kiss Me Razley collided soon after the start checking Fast Izzi and Kiss Me Razley. Kiss Me Razley checked off Midnight Mystery in the back straight checking Fast Izzi. Kraken Buster and Miss Klara collided in the back straight checking Miss Klara. Midnight Mystery raced wide entering the home straight.

Speed Twin and Wallah were quick to begin. Simple Way and Short Tyson were slow to begin.

Bitter Dash and Simple Way collided approaching the first turn. Simmons and Pretty Lilly collided approaching the first turn checking Pretty Lily. Wallah and Simmons collided on the first turn checking Wallah and raced wide as a result. Don's Boy raced wide on the home turn. Speed Twin, Simple Way, Short Tyson and Bitter Dash collided approaching the winning post. 

Simple Way underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12 - no apparent injury was reported.

Wallah underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Borg, the trainer of Simple Way regarding its performance in the home straight. After taking evidence from Mr. Borg, viewing all available footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71. Simple Way must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr M Marshall, the trainer of Wallah regarding its performance approaching the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Wallah must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Army Bale and Veritaserum were slow to begin.

Entranced and Favour collided soon after the start checking Entranced. Entranced and Favour collided on the first turn checking Entranced.

Lil Snooze was slow to begin.

Taffeta Bale and Charmed collided soon after the start. Taffeta Bale, Belle Express and Lil Snooze collided on the first turn checking Lil Snooze and Cardiff Bale, and severley checking Belle Express, which faltered and pulled up as a result. Midnight Hawk and Charmed collided entering the home straight checking Roger Rocks.

Belle Express underwent a post-race veterinary examination - Belle Express was found to have a fracture to the right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from Cherokee Cat - the winner of the event.

Following this event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinity of the first turn and deemed the surface safe for racing.
