A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Heart.
Happy Tails, Special Drop and Lady Bang Bang were quick to begin.
Franki Jay and Shima Deal collided approaching the first turn. Franki Jay, Shima Deal and Miss Heart collided on the first turn, checking Shima Deal and Miss Heart. Happy Tails and Lady Bang Bang collided on the first turn. Special Drop, Lady Bang Bang and Happy Tails collided on the second turn, checking Happy Tails, Lady Bang Bang and Franki Jay. Miss Heart, Happy Tails and Lady Bang Bang collided approaching the third turn, checking Lady Bang Bang. Miss Heart checked off Special Drop entering the home straight. Happy Tails tired in the home straight.
Happy Tails underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained injuries to the left back muscle and left groin muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
