Steward's Report
Rose Mikado - Late scratching at 6.24pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left hock wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Sole Trader was slow to begin.
Flojo Mikado and Crackerjack John collided soon after the start checking Crackerjack John. Island Cruiser, Flojo Mikado and Dundee Jazz collided approaching the first turn checking Flojo Mikado. Island Cruiser and Dundee Jazz collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds; causing Dundee Jazz to fall and Island Cruiser to lose considerable ground.
Island Cruiser underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Dundee Jazz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left calf and right triangle muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. Tony Cortese, trainer of Black Beauty was issued a warning in that he did not engage a catcher for this event (GAR 48).
