She's A Blazin'– Late scratching at 10.27am when trainer Mrs J. Garland reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Red Hot Tears and Insuperable were quick to begin.
Soldado and Pete's Dream collided approaching the first turn checking Pete's Dream. Aston Achilles and Ingenuity collided on the first turn checking Aston Achilles, Ingenuity, Soldado, Pete's Dream and Desiree Devere. Pete's Dream checked off Desiree Devere on the second turn. Red Hot Tears and Insuperable collided on the third turn checiking Red Hot Tears. Soldado and Desiree Devere collided on the home turn.
Red Hot Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
