Steward's Report
The start of this race was delayed by approximately 2 1/2 minutes due to a hare on the track.
Kraken Smartie galloped on Georgia Kate approaching the first turn checking Georgia Kate. Noonbarra Jack checked off Riddles on the first turn. John's Last raced wide on the first turn checking Riddles and Noonbarra Jack. Beau Herrera and Riddles collided approaching the home turn. Riddles checked off John's Last entering home straight. Kraken Smartie faltered in the home straight and lost ground as a result.
Kraken Smartie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fracture to the right tibia. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards walked the track in the home straight where Kraken Smartie faltered and found it suitable for racing.
