Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Urana Vieri and Especially Eager collided soon after the start.  Aston Camille, Especially Eager and Kanga Lights collided at the 250m mark.  Aston Camille and Especially Eager collided at the 200m mark.  Dire Straits crossed to the inside at the 150m mark checking Boes Reward.  Aston Camille and Especially Eager collided at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Kuta Cowboy and Shady Talks were slow to begin.

Sand Dance crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Rattling Rosie.  Rattling Rosie and Sand Dance collided at the 150m mark.  Rattling Rosie turned its head outwards approaching the 50m mark.

Rattling Rosie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both monkey muscles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G. Cowcher, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 50m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Rattling Rosie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Cowcher pleaded guilty to the charge, Rattling Rosie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Front Bar - Late scratching at 11:27am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an injury to the right metacarpal.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed

This event was delayed by approximately 7 minutes after Jazzy Arandt was placed in the incorrect starting box.  Subsequently Jazzy Arandt, Go Quantum, and Heidi were removed from the starting boxes and underwent a veterinary examination.  All greyhounds were passed fit to race. 

Go Quantum was slow to begin.  Jazzy Arandt went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Heidi and Lathyrus collided soon after the start.  Jay Jay Kersey checked off Heidi at the 150m mark.  Go Quantum and Jay Jay Kersey collided at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.  Too Much Talking and Lathyrus collided at the 50m mark.

Mr M. Zammit was issued with a warning after the greyhound Jazzy Arandt was placed in the incorrect starting box.

Stewards reminded the starter of their responsibilities after he allowed the greyhound Jazzy Arandt to be placed in the incorrect starting box. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.  

Concrete Fever was quick to begin.  Boes High Five was slow to begin.

Boes High Five checked off Kid Caldwell approaching the 300m mark.

Boes High Five underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Callum's Son underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a neurological episode. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
