A pre-race sample was taken from Kiwi Swagger.
Aston Lopez and Sweet Swagger were quick to begin.
Clean Slate stumbled at the start and lost ground as a result. Ruby Zeal, Little Mug and Whisky hans collided soon after the start, checking Ruby Zeal and Little Mug . Ruby Zeal, Clean Slate and Kiwi Swagger collided on the first turn, checking Kiwi Swagger. Clean Slate raced wide in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Lopez - the winner of the event.
Kiwi Swagger underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported
