Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Ragin' Outcast and Weblec Pearl collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Buy The Dip checked off Urana Rose on the first turn, severely checking Taiepa and Lainey Basil. Urana Rose veered out and marred the running of Glamorous Lass entering the home straight. Urana Rose and Glamorous Lass collided in the home straight on several occassions. 

Urana Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. G.Glass regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Urana Rose was charged with marring. Mr. G.Glass pleaded guilty to the charge, Urana Rose is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ragin' Outcast underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a monkey muscle injury, right foreleg. A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Rumpelstiltskin - Late scratching at 6.42pm by Order of Stewards acting in the best interests of greyhound racing in accordance with GAR20(4)(b) due to an issue associated with the GRV COVID health screening protocols. Trainer Mr B. Chapman and an unlicensed person were directed to leave course immediately pursuant to GAR 20(3)(n). After taking initial evidence an inquiry in regards to the matter has been adjourned.    

Mandalo and Destini Arrow were slow to begin.

Destini Arrow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a hamstring and thigh injury, left hindleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Gates was quick to begin. La La Louis, Indigo Indy and Red Mahogany were slow to begin.

Oriental Jade underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Representative Mr S. Coulson was issued a warning for negligence pursuant to GAR86(o) after he initially attempted to load Zipping Walter into the incorrect starting box. In arriving at penalty Stewards took into consideration the behaviour of the greyhound and the fact that the start was not delayed in any way.
