Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards spoke to representative Mrs. J McMahon regarding the scratching of greyhounds Dr. Lynch and Dr. Collette and noted the explanation and advised that both greyhounds will require a veterninary certificate before further nominations in accordance with GAR 20(3)(v).

Bromley, Sweet Chardy and Lauradale Lass collided on the first turn checking Sweet Chardy.  Dr. Davinci faltered in the back straight.  Sweet Chardy, Lauradale Lass and Dr. Davinci collided on the second turn checking Lauradale Lass severely checking Sweet Chardy and Dr. Davinci causing Dr. Davinci to race wide.

Sweet Chardy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Davinci underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Rose Of Airly was slow to begin.  Indiana Spolly was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Yassie Belle, Amrin and Rose Of Airly collided on the first turn.  Indiana Spolly galloped on Quintana Jive on the first turn.

Aston Frigate checked off Lynee on the first turn.  Dr. Cassia and Lynee collided on the first turn.  Chasing Opal, Dr. Viva and Dr. Cassia collided approaching the home turn.  Dr. Cassia checked off Lynee in the home straight.

Sweet Demi was slow to begin.  Camila checked off Omega Cimarron soon after the start.  Kindra checked off Camila approaching the first turn.  Omega Dodge and Airly Cleaner collided on the first turn severely checking Airly Cleaner which stumbled as a result checking Kindra and Sweet Demi.  Camila checked off Jillissa on the first turn.  Kindra, Camila and Jillissa collided on the home turn.

Speed Demon was quick to begin.  Finniss Vision and Mich Wiggle collided on the first turn checking Mich Wiggle.  Lethal Hawk and Finniss Vision collided in the back straight checking Lethal Hawk.  Speed Demon and Finniss Vision collided entering the home straight.  Incognito and Finniss Vision collided approaching the winning post.  Speed Demon tired and lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

St. Leo was slow to begin.  Tansy and Hurry Harry collided on the first turn.  St. Leo galloped on Tansy on the first turn.

Go Pappa Go and Splinter were quick to begin.  Zipping Hunter and Go Pappa Go collided approaching the first turn checking Go Pappa Go.  Go Pappa Go, Splinter and Thistle Rock collided on the first turn checking Thistle Rock.  Zipping Hunter faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off

Zipping Hunter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture/dislocation (hock).  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Akina Dee Jay and Whodat Dare were quick to begin.  Akina Harley was slow to begin.  Akina Dee Jay checked off Whodat Dare on the first turn.  Zipping Wade and Dr. Rayna collided on the first turn checking Dr. Rayna.  Whodat Dare and Keenando collided on the second turn.  Akina Harley galloped on Samp De Keats on the second turn checking Samp De Keats severely checking Akina Harley which fell as a result.  Akina Dee Jay and Samp De Keats collided approaching the home turn.  Akina Dee Jay and Dr. Rayna collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Zipping Wade raced wide in the home straight.

Akina Bear was slow to begin.  Hayley Hook was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Shot Gun Pistol and Meat Murphy collided approaching the first turn.  Shot Gun Pistol and Trubelle collided on the first turn severely checking Trubelle, Dr. Brissa and Akina Bear checking Hayley Hook and Meat Murphy.  Dr. Brissa and Trubelle collided in the home straight.  Dr. Brissa marred Trubelle in the home straight checking Trubelle.

Dr. Brissa underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. Judith McMahon, the trainer of Dr. Brissa regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Dr. Brissa was charged with marring.  Mrs. McMahon pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dr. Brissa is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bomber's Queen - Late scratching at 15.14pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G. Green was fined $100.
