Superior Breeze went up with the lids at box rise. One Eyed Bandit and Rio Hustler collided soon after the start. Ali Tonic, Rio Hustler and One Eyed Bandit collided approaching the 300m mark. One Eyed Bandit and Rio Hustler collided at the 250m mark and again at the 150m mark checking One Eyed Bandit. Superior Breeze contacted the running rail at the 150m mark. Rio Hustler and Ali Tonic collided at the 100m mark.
Superior Breeze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
