A pre-race sample was taken from Loaded.
Degani and Hot Pies were slow to begin. Loaded checked off Destini Trucker on the first turn checking Beau Gem and Degani. Loaded checked off Hot Pies on the home turn checking Beau Gem and Degani. Urban Bourbon raced wide in the home straight.
Degani underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and a right shoulder injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Beau Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pencil muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Connor, the trainer of Beau Gem and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.
