Steward's Report
Lots Of Chatter was slow to begin. Poison Gas was checked off Almapa Sunshine on the first turn. Almapa Sunshine was checked off Montey Jack approaching the home turn checking Almapa Sunshine. Montey Jack marred Talk Talk Talk in the home straight. Almapa Sunshine galloped on Talk Talk Talk in the home straight.
Almapa Sunshine underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have lost a nail on the left hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Montey Jack underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Johnson the trainer of Montey Jack regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Montey Jack was charged with marring. Mr. Johnson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Montey Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
