Steward's Report
Crackerjack Fish - Late scratching at 6:04 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to diarrhea. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Callister.
Weblec Haze was slow to begin. Tigers Nineteen crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Midnight Mystery, Weblec Haze and Ayo Joy, severely checking Callister which stumbled and lost ground. Bisenti, Sorry Scott and Tigers Nineteen collided entering the front straight. Midnight Mystery checked off Sorry Scott on the second turn. Sorry Scott checked off Bisenti approaching the home turn checking Bisenti and Ayo Joy. Sorry Scott visibly eased in the home straight.
Sorry Scott was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left dew claw, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr L. Thompson. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sorry Scott was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Sorry Scott must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was tken from Weblec Haze, the winner of the event.
