Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Koko Kardash was quick to begin.  Aston Kipchoge was slow to begin.

Forcefully and Groundbreaking collided soon after the start.  Bounce Back and Forcefully collided approaching the first turn.  Bounce Back checked off Forcefully on the first turn.  Callow Street and Mr. Coconut crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Callow Street and severely checking Aston Kipchoge.  Callow Street and Aston Kipchoge collided again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Forcefully brushed the running rail entering the home straight.

Fernandes and Aston Antoine were slow to begin.

Big Bash Army checked off Bravery approaching the first turn.  Bravery and Joyful collided approaching the first turn.  Bravery and Fernandes collided on the first turn and again in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Joyful clipped the heels of Bus Driver on the third turn checking Joyful.  Big Bash Army and Joyful collided entering the home straight.

Mac's A Million and Star Blazer were slow to begin.

Agent Jordan crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Mac's A Million.  Bush Martini and Agent Jordan collided on the first turn.  Shrek's Rose and Star Blazer collided on the first turn checking Star Blazer.  Mac's A Million raced wide approaching the second turn.  Star Blazer checked off Shrek's Rose entering the back straight.

Franco Fernando was quick to begin.  Cherokee Twist and Midnight Express were slow to begin.

Midnight Express and Aston Victory collided on the first turn.  Cherokee Twist and Midnight Express collided on the third turn checking Midnight Express and Aston Victory.  Aston Victory checked off Midnight Express approaching the home turn.  Quid Pro Quo and Love And Rain collided approaching the winning post.

Midnight Express underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Fuel 'Em, Major Pursuit, Weblec Fire and Yozo Bale collided soon after the start checking Major Pursuit and Weblec Fire.  Come On Eleanor checked off Yozo Bale approaching the first turn.  Weblec Fire raced wide on the first turn.  Chart Topper checked off Fuel 'Em on the third turn.

Muzza Keeping was a late scratching at 10:41am this morning. A 10 day stand down period has been initially imposed. Raceday Stewards spoke to the trainer, Mr Michael Hardman of NSW and the owner, Mr Jason Carrozza by telephone regarding the circumstances surrounding the withdrawal. Due to these circumstances, the matter has been referred to the Chief Steward.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Nangar Rust.

Why Not Paps checked off Sir Duke approaching the first turn.  Sir Duke and Jay Bird collided approaching the first turn.  Sir Duke and Red Queen collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Why Not Paps checked off Red Queen on the second turn.  Red Queen tired in the home straight.

Neymar Junior and Capra collided soon after the start checking Capra.  Neymar Junior raced wide approaching the first turn and on the first turn.  Thriving and Busy Time collided approaching the first turn checking Thriving.  Xella Bale, Lady Luna and Aston Vuitton collided on the first turn checking Lady Luna and Aston Vuitton.  Capra and Thriving collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Lady Luna and Aston Vuitton collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds; Lady Luna lost ground and subsequentially tailed off.

Lady Luna underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined. Lady Luna was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Redenbach, the trainer of Lady Luna regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Lady Luna must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Maximum Jemma crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Yano Bale.  True Alpha and Love And Thunder collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Love And Thunder.  Lily Potter and Nenna Tears collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  True Alpha, Love And Thunder and Yano Bale collided approaching the third turn checking all three greyhounds.  Love And Thunder and Lily Potter collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.
