Oriental Rain and Harlequin Rose were quick to begin.  He Shall Blitz was slow to begin.  Break The Chains and Urana Rose collided soon after the start.  Break The Chains was checked off Urana Rose approaching the first turn and collided with Flying Lucky checking Break The Chains.  Fast Lane and Oriental Rain collided on the first turn checking Fast Lane.  He Shall Blitz and Midnight Express collided approaching the home turn.  Flying Lucky and He Shall Blitz collided on the home turn.  Break The Chains, Flying Lucky, He Shall Blitz and Oriental Rain raced wide in the home straight.

Nothin' To Lose was slow to begin.  Bricabrac and What's Up Skip raced wide in the back straight. Bricabrac raced wide in the home straight.

Gojek and Muza's Angel collided soon after the start.  Gojek,  Muza's Angel, Flywheel Bella and Wears Woodleigh collided approaching the first turn.  Holly's Affair and Just Love collided on the first turn.  Muza's Angel, Flywheel Bella and Welsly Bale collided on the first turn.  Gojek, Flywheel Bella and Wears Woodleigh collided approaching the home turn.  Gojek, Flywheel  Bella and Wears Woodleigh raced wide in the home straight.  One An' Six marred Just Love in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Coulson the representative for One An' Six regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) One An' Six was charged with marring.  Mr. Coulson pleaded not guilty to the charge, One An' Six was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Just Lovin' It was slow to begin.  Ivey's Affair and Just Lovin' It collided approaching the first turn.

It's All Luck - Late scratching at 10.32am when Mrs Phillis Brown reported the greyhound to be injured - lameness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

What Price Mason underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Nan Moffit underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right shoulder and right back muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
