Fabriola Zad underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

Chun Li was slow to begin.  Stirling Lights checked off Back Burn soon after the start.  Rockstar Stanley, Back Burn, Stirling Lights, Fabriola Zad and Chun Li collided approaching the first turn.  Fabriola Zad and Chun Li collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Back Burn checked off Stirling Lights approaching the third turn.  Back Burn visibly eased approaching the home turn and collided with Stirling LIghts and Chun Li, severely checking Stirling Lights which tailed off as a result.

Stirling Lights was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a disclocation to the right foreleg toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Back Burn was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr D. Pell.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Back Burn was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Pell pleaded guilty to the charge.  Back Burn must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
