Steward's Report
Bodhi's Bro Kai and Bea The Queen were quick to begin. Urana Mustang was slow to begin. Thurles Princess and Bea The Queen collided on the first turn checking Bea The Queen. Zambora Lulu was checked off Bodhi's Bro Kai entering the home straight and raced wide. Urana Mustang visibly eased in the home straight and lost considerable ground.
Urana Mustang underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr S. Mallia, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Urana Mustang was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Mallia pleaded guilty to the charge, Urana Mustang must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
