Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful heatlh screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.  

Midnight Express was slow to begin.  Mr. Medico was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Lumen Hustle lost ground on the first turn.  Midnight Express and Harlequin Rose collided on the first turn checking Midnight Express which raced wide severely checking Harlequin Rose.  Mr. Medico and Harlequin Rose collided approaching the home turn.  Mr. Medico and Lumen Hustle collided on the home turn. Oriental Rain raced wide in the home straight.  

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Marshall the trainer of Lumen Hustle and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.

Flying Lucky was quick to begin.  Shrek's Rose, Stepping and Break The Chains were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn checking Shrek's Rose.  Urana Rose crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Connie's Entity and Stepping and severely checking He Shall Blitz. Flying Lucky and Urana Rose collided on the first turn checking Urana Rose.  Stepping and Connie's Entity collided on the first turn.  Stepping was checked off Connie's Entity approaching the home turn checking Shrek's Rose.  Shrek's Rose raced wide on the home turn. He Shall Blitz and Connie's Entity collided in the home straight.  Stepping and Connie's Entity collided several times from the home straight to the winning post.

Print The Cash, Attitude Plus and Paua Of Oscar were slow to begin.  Attitude Plus and Paua Of Oscar collided soon after the start checking Attitude Plus.  Print The Cash, Attitude Plus and Thriving collided approaching the first turn severely checking Print The Cash and Hook Along Mint, Print The Cash contacted the running rail as a result.  Diamond Cartel and Attitude Plus collided on the first turn checking Attitude Plus and Thriving. Print The Cash and Hook Along Mint collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Diamond Cartel, Attitude Plus and Montaro collided several times from the home turn to entering the home straight severely checking all three greyhounds.  Attitude Plus and Hook Along Mint collided in the home straight. Serengeti Icon was slow to begin. Fleck shifted out on the second turn. Cosmic Katie and Fleck collided on the third turn. Snake Pit Lass and New Punchline collided on the third turn checking New Punchline and Keefe. New Punchline was checked off Keefe approaching the home turn. Serengeti Icon was checked off Cosmic Katie in the home straight

Father Phevos and Taken were quick to begin.  Father Phevos, Can't Say That and Zipping Hamish collided on the first turn checking Father Phevos, Can't Say That, Zipping Hamish and Rock Me Gorgeous.  Taken and Can't Say That raced wide entering the home straight.  Father Phevos and Zipping Hamish collided entering the home straight checking Father Phevos.

Ragin' Force was quick to begin.  Crackerjack Nash and Jebrynah Octave were slow to begin.  William Rose was checked off Ragin' Force approaching the first turn.  Flying Hulk was checked off Jebrynah Octave on the first turn.  Ragin' Force and Jebrynah Octave collided on the first turn checking Jebrynah Octave and Flying Hulk and severely checking Ragin' Force.  Crackerjack Nash was checked off Jebrynah Octave on the first turn.  What Price Bucks, Jebrynah Octave and Crackerjack Nash collided approaching the home turn checking Jebrynah Octave and Crackerjack Nash.   Crackerjack Nash was checked off Jebrynah Octave on the home turn.

Flying Hulk underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected left wrist fracture.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Bodhi's Bro Kai and Bea The Queen were quick to begin.  Urana Mustang was slow to begin. Thurles Princess and Bea The Queen collided on the first turn checking Bea The Queen.  Zambora Lulu was checked off Bodhi's Bro Kai entering the home straight and raced wide.  Urana Mustang visibly eased in the home straight and lost considerable ground.

Urana Mustang underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr S. Mallia, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Urana Mustang was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Mallia pleaded guilty to the charge, Urana Mustang must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mighty Matilda - Late scratching at 5:52pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr John Brown was fined $100.

Welsly Bale and Winlock Dyno were quick to begin.  Alpine Cowboy was slow to begin.  Gellar Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn severely checking Winlock Dyno, Welsly Bale and Golden Years, subsequently checking Hurricane Red.  Winlock Dyno was checked off Golden Years approaching the home turn. 

 Voluptuous Blue was quick to begin.  Ryben Jack was checked off Cross Threaded approaching the first turn. Cross Threaded faltered on the first turn and lost ground checking Voluptuous Blue and Weeona Yoshi. Meraki and Voluptuous Blue collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Cross Threaded underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Midnight Storm, distance 400 metres, weight 28.1kg, box 2, placed first, time run 22.83 secs.  Cleared all tracks except Ballarat.

Gotham Duchess, distance 400 metres, weight 26.2kg, box 3, placed fourth, time run 23.00 secs. Cleared all tracks except Ballarat.

Dream Wizard, distance 400 metres, weight 29.7kg, box 5, placed third, time run 22.95 secs.  Cleared all tracks.
