Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

Gold Flyer was quick to begin and crossed in soon after the start.  Sneaky Mojo and He Shall Blitz were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Sneaky Mojo and Magic Voyage collided approaching the first turn.  Moodswing Tarny raced wide approaching the first turn and for the remainder of the event.  Rock In Rio and He Shall Blitz collided on the second turn checking he Shall Blitz.  Sneaky Mojo crossed in entering the home straight checking Magic Voyage.  

Rockstar Gately – New declared weight of 30.5kgs, last raced at 29.4kgs.

Sunset Bourbski and He Shall Power were slow to begin.

Rockstar Gately crossed in soon after the start checking Tekku Nibbles.  Tekki Nibbles and True Alpha collided approaching the first turn checking True Alpha.  True Alpha checked off Rockstar Gately on the first turn.  Sunset Bourbski and He Shall Power collided on the second turn.  He Shall Power checked off True Alpha entering the back straight and stumbled as a result.  Sunset Bourbski checked off Tekki Nibbles on the third turn.  Tekki Nibbles checked off True Alpha approaching the home turn.  Sunset Boubski crossed out entering the home straight checking Dewana Degoey.  Tekki Nibbles checked off True Alpha in the home straight.  Dewana Degoey raced wide in the home straight.  

Mt. View Audrey and Fine Tactics were slow to begin.

Sixties Rockstar and Artemisia collided soon after the start.  Mt. View Audrey raced wide on the first turn and lost ground.  Sixties Rockstar and Phoenix Drive collided several times from the home turn to the winning post.  Sixties Rockstar, Artemisia and Phoenix Drive collided approaching the winning post checking Artemisia.  

Mt. View Audrey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain, right monkey muscle, right deltoid, right and left groin injuries.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Full Moon Fever and Sensory were slow to begin.

Olive's Branch and According collided approaching the first turn.  According crossed in on the first turn checking Resounding, Olive’s Branch, Sensory and Spinifex Gold, causing Sensory and Spinifex Gold to race wide as a result.  According galloped on Black Opaque on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Resounding and Sensory collided on the second turn checking Resounding.  Black Opaque and Olive's Branch collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  Spinifex Gold veered in and marred Black Opaque entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking Black Opaque.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Gatt, the trainer of Spinifex Gold regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Spinifex Gold was charged with marring. Mr Gatt pleaded guilty to the charge, Spinifex Gold is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sailing Shoes, Lektra Fireball and Impending collided soon after the start checking Lektra Fireball.  Sailing Shoes and Impending collided approaching the first turn.  Come On Eleanor, Callister, Sailing Shoes and Impending collided approaching the first turn severely checking Sailing Shoes and Lektra Fireball, Sailing Shoes stumbled, lost ground and subsequently tailed off, Lektra Fireball faltered and subsequently pulled up. Sailing Shoes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Lektra Fireball underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right radius/ulna fracture.  A 90 stand down period was imposed.
