A pre-race sample was taken from Come On Eleanor.
Sailing Shoes, Lektra Fireball and Impending collided soon after the start checking Lektra Fireball. Sailing Shoes and Impending collided approaching the first turn. Come On Eleanor, Callister, Sailing Shoes and Impending collided approaching the first turn severely checking Sailing Shoes and Lektra Fireball, Sailing Shoes stumbled, lost ground and subsequently tailed off, Lektra Fireball faltered and subsequently pulled up. Come On Eleanor and Impending collided on the first turn checking Come On Eleanor.
Sailing Shoes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Lektra Fireball underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right radius/ulna fracture. A 90 stand down period was imposed.
