A pre-race sample was taken from According.
Full Moon Fever and Sensory were slow to begin.
Olive's Branch and According collided approaching the first turn. According crossed in on the first turn checking Resounding, Olive’s Branch, Sensory and Spinifex Gold, causing Sensory and Spinifex Gold to race wide as a result. According galloped on Black Opaque on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Resounding and Sensory collided on the second turn checking Resounding. Black Opaque and Olive's Branch collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds. Spinifex Gold veered in and marred Black Opaque entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking Black Opaque.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Gatt, the trainer of Spinifex Gold regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Spinifex Gold was charged with marring. Mr Gatt pleaded guilty to the charge, Spinifex Gold is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
