Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

Off To Monaco - Late scratching at 6:18 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Avalanche was slow to begin.

Iylee Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Baby Eden. Avalanche checked off Extra Gear on the first turn causing Hot Finish and Avalanche to collide: causing Reiko Ablett to check off Avalanche. Aston Thunder and Baby Eden collided on the second turn. Extra Gear and Hot Finish collided on the third turn.

Spring Fair and Lily Pad collided soon after the start. Tilly Lee and Spearhead collided soon after the start. Tilly Lee brushed the rail approaching the first turn. Spearhead and Faithy Bale collided on the first turn checking Faithy Bale causing Faithy Bale and Medina to collided checking both greyhounds. Shanlyn Charlott and Spring Fair collided approaching the second turn. Shanlynn Charlott checked off Faithy Bale on the second turn causing Shanlyn Charlott, Spring Fair and Medina to collide. Shanlynn Charlott checked off Spring Fair approaching the third turn. Faithy Bale checked off Tilly Lee on the third turn checking Faithy Bale causing: Faithy Bale and Lily Pad to collide. Spring Fair, Lily Pad and Faithy Bale collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Spearhead, the winner of the event.

Montaya, Flojo Mikado, Miss Heart and Rising Moon collided approaching the first checking Flojo Mikado, Miss Heart and Rising Moon. Lektra Lyrebird crossed wide entering the home straight checking Zippin Hunter. Rising Moon crossed to the rail entering the front straight checking Flojo Mikado. Zipping Hunter checked off Lektra Lyrebird on the second turn. Flojo Mikado checked off Miss Heart on the second turn. Cailah Thai and Rising Moon collided entering the home straight.

Stewards established that Lektra Lyrebird turned in the boxes, however corrected itself prior to box rise. Stewards deemed the incident did not fall under the provisions of 52(1), and took no action. However, due to losing ground from the back straight to the winning post, Lektra Lyrebird was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 6.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hock, right calf muscle and right hamstrings, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Banga and Rajastan were quick to begin.

Tough Tears and Blazing Cartier collided approaching the first checking Blazing Cartier. Blazing Cartier and Banga collided entering the front straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Toby Time.

Aston Perignon and Toby Time collided soon after the start. Wallbanger and Dyna Smokey collided soon after the start. Dyna Virion and Dyna Smokey collided approaching the first. Dyna Smokey and Olson Bale collided on the first. Dyna Virion and Aston Perignon collided on the first turn. Wallbanger checked off Dyna Unther approaching the second turn checking Aston Perignon. Dyna Virion and Aston Perignon collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Dyna Smokey and Olson Bale collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn checking Olson Bale.

Dyna Virion was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Wallbanger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound received a spike wound to the right front toe, no stand down period was imposed.

Weblec Jack went up with the lids at box rise.

Tauwitchere was quick to begin.

Ella Enchanted and Red Rochelle collided approaching the first turn. Ella Enchanted and True Detective collided on the second turn causing: Weblec Jack to check off True Detective. True Detective crossed out wide in the home straight.

Renewed went up the lids at box rise.

Scatterbox was quick to begin.

Rockstar Gareth checked off Road To Success on the first turn causing: Rockstar Gareth and Blinkin Billy to collide, causing: Repercussions and Triple Double to collide, both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Renewed checked off Scatterbox on the fourth turn. Scatterbox, Repercussions and Renewed collided approaching the home turn. Rockstar Gareth checked off Renewed approaching the home turn. Triple Double faltered on the home turn.

Triple Double was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Immediate was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Run Baba Run. Fernando’s Riot, Priority Pass and Aston Cade collided soon after the start. Priority Pass and Run Baba Run collided on the first turn checking Run Baba Run. Fernando’s Riot and Aston Cade collided approaching the second turn.

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Lure Driver Mr C Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Dewana Fair Go and Crackerjack Nev were slow to begin.

East Street and Rollo Ragnar were quick to begin.

East Street, Rollo Ragnar and Padrino Rocks collided approaching the first turn. East Street, Rollo Ragnar, Padrino Rocks and Dirty Max collided on the first turn, checking Padrino Rocks and Dirty Max, causing Crackerjack Nev to check off Padrino Rocks and race wide as a result. Dewana Go Fair checked off East Street approaching the second turn. East Street and Dewana Fair Go collided in the back straight. Rollo Ragnar and So Say collided on the third turn. East Street and Dewana Fair Go collided several times approaching the home turn.

Charging Yaala underwent a full veterinary examination prior to the event and was passed fit to compete.

Fly High Billy, Arlington and Weblec Spice collided soon after the start. Kroosh, Sheriff Max and Lektra Rainbow collided soon after the start. Kroosh checked off Sheriff Max on the first turn. Sheriff Max brushed the rail approaching the second turn. Sheriff Max and Lektra Rainbow collided entering the back straight. Red Gate checked off Kroosh approaching the home turn. Charging Yaala tired in the concluding stages.

Manny Allen crossed to the rail soon after the start. Cranberry Miss and Zipping Marshall collided soon after the start checking Cranberry Miss. Gettysburg, Gladioli Bale and Zipping Kiki collided soon after the start. Gladioli Bale and Zipping Marshall collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Marshall and Sizzlin’ Sanchez collided approaching the second turn checking Sizzlin’ Sanchez. Gettysburg and Zipping Kiki collided approaching the second turn.
