Steward's Report
Montaya, Flojo Mikado, Miss Heart and Rising Moon collided approaching the first checking Flojo Mikado, Miss Heart and Rising Moon. Lektra Lyrebird crossed wide entering the home straight checking Zippin Hunter. Rising Moon crossed to the rail entering the front straight checking Flojo Mikado. Zipping Hunter checked off Lektra Lyrebird on the second turn. Flojo Mikado checked off Miss Heart on the second turn. Cailah Thai and Rising Moon collided entering the home straight.
Stewards established that Lektra Lyrebird turned in the boxes, however corrected itself prior to box rise. Stewards deemed the incident did not fall under the provisions of 52(1), and took no action. However, due to losing ground from the back straight to the winning post, Lektra Lyrebird was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right hock, right calf muscle and right hamstrings, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
