The start of this event was re-scheduled to begin at 9:08 PM.
Whisky Hans, Aston Corinna and Crackerjack Fish were slow to begin.
Heidi Intention, Rainbow Spirit, Weblec Smoke and Cacophony collided approaching the first turn, checking Heidi Intention, Rainbow Spirit and Weblec Smoke. Rodrigo Bale and Whisky Hans collided on the first turn, checking Rodrigo Bale. Rainbow Spirit galloped on the heels of Weblec Smoke approaching the home turn and severely checking Weblec Smoke, Rainbow Spirit and Heidi Intention. Heidi Intention clipped the heels of Weblec Smoke approaching the home turn.
Weblec Smoke underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded right hind paw. No day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Cacophony - the winner of the event.
