Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was delayed due to lightning strikes and thunder storms in the area, Stewards contacted BOM and acting on advice, racing was re scheduled to start at 7.27pm. 

Before the commencement of race 1 the track was inspected by stewards and deemed suitable for racing.
