Steward's Report
Okawa Eye Candy – Late scratching at 6.45pm due to the greyhound not being presented in the required kennelling time (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr C Tilley was fined $100.
Space Trucking and Mepunga Daniel collided soon after the start. Amy Amour and Whisky Hans collided soon after the start. Habib and Typhoon Bolt collided approaching the first turn. Space Trucking, Habib and Typhoon Bolt collided on the first turn checking Habib and Amy Amour. Space Trucking and Amy Amour collided on the home turn. Space Trucking and Amy Amour raced wide in the home straight.
Habib underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Daniel - the winner of the event.
