Steward's Report
Out of competition samples were taken from Riddles on October 14, 2019 and Avalanche October 15, 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Riddles.
Say Hi, Avalanche and Locked In collided soon after the start. Avalanche and Undisputed collided approaching the first turn. Say Hi, What's Up Skip, Riddles and Sudden Force collided on the first turn checking Avalanche, Sudden Force and severely checking Undisputed, Riddles and Weeona Pete, Riddles fell as a result and tailed off. Avalanche checked off What's Up Skip approaching the second turn. Locked In and What's Up Skip collided on the third turn.
Riddles underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Locked In underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated left hind toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards directed that a post race sample was to be taken from Locked In, the winner of the event; however the sample was aborted due to an injury the greyhound sustained that required immediate pain releif prescribed from the On Track Veterinarian.
