Steward's Report
Flinders was quick to begin. Lamotta and Moroka Magic were slow to begin. Inuka and Moroka Magic collided soon after the start. Pirates Patch galloped on Flinders approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Dusty Hayes, Aston Moet, Pirates Patch, Khandela, Inuka, Lamotta and Moroka Magic collided on the first turn checking Pirates Patch and Moroka Magic and severely checking Inuka and Lamotta. Aston Moet and Khandela collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Aston Moet, Pirates Patch and Khandela collided in the home straight.
Aston Moet underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the right hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post race sample was taken from Flinders - winner of the event.
