So They Say was slow to begin. High Kings and Tink collided soon after the start. Twice Blessed checked off Early Promise approaching the first turn. Twice Blessed and Ishmy Lady collided on the first turn checking Ishmy Lady. Twice Blessed checked off High Kings on the first turn. That Will Be and So They Say collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. High Kings checked off Tink on the home turn.
So They Say underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Tilley, the trainer of So They Say and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.
