Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from As Iron Why on 20th September, 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Lamotta, As Iron Why and Madalia Champ were slow to begin. Invictus Lenny and Finn Bop collided on the first turn checking Finn Bop, Dr. Luna, Flinders and As Iron Why. Finn Bop faltered and lost ground and subsequently tailed off. Madalia Champ raced wide on the home turn. Flinders and Bernmar Tiny collided approaching the winning post.
Finn Bop underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Luna underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
As Iron Why underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Ms. Leviston declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Leviston, the handler of As Iron Why and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
