Steward's Report
Pergamon, All Inn Tyler and Magic Jet were slow to begin.
Smash Flash and Shellbrook collided soon after the start. Magic Trap crossed out soon after the start and collided with Lottie Biscotti. Smash Flash and Shellbrook collided at the 300m mark checking Pergamon and All Inn Tyler. Magic Trap checked off Lottie Biscotti approaching the 250m mark. Smash Flash and Shellbrook collided several times at the 250m mark. Magic Trap turned its head to the outside approaching the 150m mark and again at the 150m mark. Smash Flash checked off Shellbrook at the 100m mark.
Magic Trap underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to both wrists, no stand day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Tony Salpigtidis, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Magic Trap was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Salpigtidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Trap must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
