Evi Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Shane Jack, regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Evi Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Jack pleaded not guilty to the charge, Evi Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Starter Mr Ryan Johnson and issued him with a warning after he failed to direct Can't Spell be boxed first in this event as endorsed. The incident was reported to the appropriate manager.

Got Some Zip and Mystic Jaguar collided soon after the start. Black Catani, Chill Out Fordy and Got Some Zip collided soon after the start checking Black Catani and Chill Out Fordy. All Inn Deeds, Ruby Zeal and Mystic Jaguar collided at the 250m mark. Measured checked off Legend Banshee at the 200m mark. Mystic Jaguar galloped on Ruby Zeal approaching the 200m mark severely checking Ruby Zeal which stumbled. Legend Banshee visibly eased and turned its head to the inside at the 200m mark. All Inn Deeds, Mystic Jaguar Got Some Zip, Ruby Zeal and Legend Banshee collided at the 200m mark. Measured visibly eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the 150m mark. All Inn Deeds, Mystic Jaguar and Measured collided several times at the 100m mark severely checking all three greyhounds. Got Some Zip checked off Legend Banshee at the 50m mark. 

Measured underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5. Measured was found to have a right wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Miss Taylah Edwards regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Measured was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Miss Edwards pleaded guilty to the charge, Measured must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Legend Banshee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left front paw and a spike wound to the right hind paw. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms Pia Triaca regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Legend Banshee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Triaca pleaded guilty to the charge, Legend Banshee must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Chill Out Fordy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the right side lumbar. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ocean Master and My Girl Mel collided at the 250m mark. My Girl Mel checked off Mist at the 200m mark. My Girl Mel and Ocean Master collided several times from the 150m mark to the 50m mark. All Inn Dawn and Chill Out Pedro collided approaching the winning post. 

You Sunshine underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
