Abyssal underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left hind leg pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R. Chivell, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Abyssal was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Chivell pleaded guilty to the charge, Abyssal must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mercy Mercy - Late scratching at 9.30pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Approximately one minute prior to start time, Stewards noted that Race 11 was displayed as ''Closed'' on the official TAB screen. After consultation with the TAB, the race was re-instated as ''Open". Stewards delayed the start of the event by approximately one minute to allow further wagering to take place.
