Tinker Craig and Nessa's Bliss were slow to begin.
Tinker Craig and Nessa's Bliss collided soon after the start checking Nessa's Bliss. Tinker Craig, Fabs You Go and Esther Bale collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Fabs You Go and Esther Bale. Fabs You Go, Volcanic Lava, Seven Enemies and Polly's Varcoe collided approaching the first turn checking Volcanic Lava and Esther Bale. Fabs You Go checked off Seven Enemies on the first turn. Esther Bale checked off Fabs You Go approaching the home turn. Fabs You Go, Polly's Varcoe, Volcanic Lava and Nessa's Bliss raced wide entering the home straight. Volcanic Lava clipped the heels of Nessa's Bliss entering the home straight, severly checking Nessa's Bliss. Fabs You Go and Polly's Varcoe collided in the home straight checking Polly's Varcoe.
Nessa's Bliss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind carpal pad. A No stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Seven Enemies - the winner of the event.
