Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Sparkle Motion underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left pencil musle and neck soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Blue Larrikan was slow to begin. Big Bella was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.

Blue Larrikan, Inter Mimi and All Inn Christy collided soon after the start. Banjo's Affair and Callum Ari collided soon after the start. Inter Mimi checked off Just Faith at the 250m mark. Blue Larrikan checked off Callum Ari approaching the 100m mark.

Superior Breeze went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Wake The Dragon and Kid Callum collided soon after the start. Big Don't Argue, Glayva and Aston Sultan collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark checking all three greyhounds. Tubark was quick to begin.

Blackpool Pantha and All Inn Deeds collided soon after the start and again approaching the 250m mark. Paganini checked off Electric Mick at the 250m mark causing Paganini and Blackpool Pantha to collide checking Paganini. Surgical Wally – New declared weight of 32.3kg, last raced at 33.7kg.

Our Bravo Rose and Surgical Wally collided soonn after the start. Tui checked off Anna Victorem at the 250m mark. Our Bravo Rose checked off Surgical Wally at the 200m mark. Surgical Wally faltered at the 150m mark and lost considerable ground. 

Surgical Wally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right pencil muscle and right gluteals. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. McMillan, the trainer of Surgical Wally regarding its performance from the 150m mark. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Surgical Wally must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
