Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Sizzling Sam and Bush Martini collided on the first turn.  Priscilla Wang, My Father's Son and One Babe collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Priscilla Wang raced wide on the second turn.  Galloping Occy and Sizzling Sam collided approaching the home turn.

Mepunga Missile and Oriental Rain were slow to begin.

Star Blazer, Charlie Bale and Goodnight Vicki collided soon after the start.  Goodnight Vicki and Shall She Charm collided approaching the first turn.  Forcefully and Star Blazer collided approaching the first turn.  Goodnight Vicki and Shall She Charm collided on the first turn severely checking Shall She Charm which fell as a result; checking Oriental Rain which raced wide.  Star Blazer raced wide in the back straight.  Mystic Rose, Forcefully and Charlie Bale collided on the third turn checking Mystic Rose, Mepunga Missile and Star Blazer; causing Star Blazer to race wide.  Oriental Rain checked off Goodnight Vicki approaching the home turn.  Oriental Rain raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Shall She Charm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both left and right deltoid, trapezius and pencil muscles. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Any Luck and Dreamy Eyes collided soon after the start.  Atlantic Jewel checked off Shots Fired approaching the first turn.  Dreamy Eyes checked off Meehan Poppy on the first turn checking Shots Fired and Silver Compass; Dreamy Eyes, Shots Fired and Silver Compass raced wide as a result.  Tezzalenko and Any Luck collided on the first turn.  Dreamy Eyes and Shots Fired collided on the second turn severely checking Dreamy Eyes.  Atlantic Jewel checked off Meehan Poppy entering the back straight.  Dreamy Eyes and Silver Compass collided approaching the winning post.

Fernando Frank was slow to begin.

Jamo and Smooth Operator collided on the first turn.  Smooth Operator and Rocky Pie collided on the second turn.  Arizona Eyes checked off Aston Antoine in the back straight.  Diorite Fire checked off Aston Antoine on the third turn.  Zipping Django raced wide on the home turn and stumbled entering the home straight.  

Zipping Django underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke with Mr J.Collins, the representative of Zipping Django regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Mr Collins stated that he thought Zipping Django had tired late in the race but had performed as expected given he was having his first start over the longer distance.  Stewards accepted the explanation of Mr Collins and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.

Sassy Queen was quick to begin.  Houdini Boy and My Era Rico were slow to begin.

Zipping Whoopi and Lee Ali collided soon after the start.  Neymar Junior and Aston Turbine collided approaching the first turn checking Neymar Junior.  Aston Turbine and Wise Thunder collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn severely checking Aston Turbine, My Era Rico, Neymar Junior and checking Wise Thunder.  My Era Rico and Aston Turbine collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.
