Locked In was quick to begin. Timmy Tunga and Charango collided approaching the first turn. Nothin' To Lose and Big Boy Macka collided approaching the first turn. Big Boy Macka, Flying Moss and Thistle Rock collided on the first turn checking Flying Moss and Thistle Rock. Lockwood Lad checked off Big Boy Macka approaching the second turn. Timmy Tunga brushed the running rail on the second turn.
Charango underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
