Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The track curator advised Stewards that the track was deep harrowed on Wednesday 27/05/2020.

Claydon was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Omega Dodge, Battle Symphony, Omega Cimarron and Dr. Rozzie collided approaching the first turn checking Battle Symphony and Dr. Rozzie.  Omega Dodge and Omega Cimarron collided on the first turn.  Battle Symphony checked off Omega Cimarron on the first turn checking Battle Symphony and Swift By Design.  Omega Cimarron and Camila collided on the first turn checking Camila.  Camila brushed the running rail approaching the home turn.  Battle Symphony galloped on Claydon approaching the home turn.  Claydon and Odd Gem collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to a kennel attendant in regards to a breach of kennel bay security following this event, Stewards have referred this matter to the Club Manager. Stewards used the kennel bay CCTV to ensure no breach of integrity occurred during the time a kennel bay door was left briefly unattended.

Coconut Miss, Mad Eye Madam and Never Simple collided soon after the start.  Coconut Miss and Darnum Dasher collided approaching the first turn.  Mad Eye Madam checked off Entwined approaching the first turn checking Mad Eye Madam.  Indulge checked off Coconut Miss on the first turn checking Indulge, Darnum Dasher, Rioli and Fleck.  Never Simple galloped on Mad Eye Madam on the first turn.  Indulge galloped on Darnum Dasher approaching the home turn.

Mad Eye Madam underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd, trainer of Mad Eye Madam, regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Mr. Floyd stated it was the first time the greyhound has started over a staying distance and he would not be entering the greyhound in any further staying races.  Stewards noted his explanation and took no further action.

Beatrice and Goldrush Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Beatrice.  Slingshot Angel checked off Crackerjack Soc approaching the home turn.  Duke Of Airly and Beatrice collided approaching the home turn.
