Steward's Report
Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mullion Mayor.
Demolition was quick to begin.
Verne Bale and Sharni's My Girl collided soon after the start. Cha Cha Charlie and Sharni's My Girl collided approaching the first turn. Corazon De Leon, Sole Trader and Cha Cha Charlie collided approaching the first turn checking Sole Trader and Cha Cha Charlie. Chart Topper checked off Sole Trader on the first turn. Verne Bale and Sharni's My Girl collided on the first turn. Cha Cha Charlie and Corazon De Leon collided approaching the second turn. Mullion Mayor checked off Demolition approaching the second turn. Sharni's My Girl and Chart Topper collided approaching the second turn and again in the back straight. Verne Bale and Cha Cha Charlie collided in the back straight. Verne Bale checked off Cha Cha Charlie approaching the third turn. Chart Topper and Verne Bale collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Chart Topper and Sharni's My Girl collided approaching the winning post.
Verne Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
