Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Lenko Lass - Late scratching at 1:58pm under GAR 37 (4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Red Mahogany - Late scratching at 2:16pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to papilloma on the right hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Apple Valley was slow to begin. Supercross checked off Blueberry Hill approaching the first turn. Dundee Dancer and Blueberry Hill collided on the first turn checking Blueberry Hill. Apple Valley and Gaerwen Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Apple Valley. Scar Queen raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Dundee Dancer and Gaerwen Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Scar Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right triangle and thigh. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.

Eureka Icon and Blushed were slow to begin. McIvor Bluey checked off Barellen Pearl soon after the start checking Fashion Icon. Eureka Icon and Blushed collided on the first turn severely checking Eureka Icon and checking Blushed. Aston Coopers and Barellen Pearl collided several times in the home straight.

McIvor Bluey underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind paw and injuries to the right back muscle and left triangle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Quattro Miss - Late scratching at 2:24pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left stifle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Cosmic Katie was quick to begin. Aston Victory was slow to begin. Nordgren, Empire Baz and Alotta Weetbix collided soon after the start checking Empire Baz. Empire Baz, Alotta Weetbix and Aston Victory collided on the first turn checking Aston Victory. Empire Baz checked off Alotta Weetbix on the second turn.

Empire Baz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Alita and Dusty Victorem were slow to begin. Thriving and Mac's A Million collided soon after the start. Alita and Dusty Victorem collided on the first turn. Eddie and Serengeti Icon collided on the second turn checking Serengeti Icon. Mac's A Million and Dusty Victorem collided on the second turn checking Dusty Victorem which stumbled and lost ground. Thriving, Eddie and Serengeti Icon collided on the third turn checking Thriving, Eddie and Romanova.

Zulu Walk crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Hard Break and Stepping. Stepping galloped on Drumbeater on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Stepping crossed to the outside on the second turn checking Mahogany Jet. Hard Break, Royalty Runa and Drumbeater collided on the second turn checking Drumbeater. Unrivalled Dusty raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Stepping marred Zulu Walk in the home straight checking Zulu Walk.

Stepping underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left pencil muscle and right triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Michelle Mallia, the trainer of Stepping regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Stepping was charged with marring. Ms. Mallia pleaded guilty to the charge, Stepping is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Settled was slow to begin. Why Not Patrick and Omar Little collided soon after the start checking Omar Little, Golden Shiraz and Watched. Smokey Renn, Monster Harley and Why Not Patrick collided on the first turn checking Monster Harley. Smokey Renn and Why Not Patrick collided on the second turn. Smokey Renn, Monster Harley and Why Not Patrick collided approaching the home turn checking Smokey Renn, Monster Harley and Settled.

Kraken Pennys, Zipping Lach and Houlio collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Pennys and Arctic Assassin. Kraken Pennys and Star Night collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Arctic Assassin raced wide in the home straight.

Javier Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and left hock. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Representative Ms L.Delbridge regarding the racing manners of the greyhound Javier Bale in the home straight. After hearing Mrs Delbridges' explanation, the injury sustained and Stewards own observations, no further action was taken.

Ivoria Bale was quick to begin. Mepunga Isla and Jimmy Turbo were slow to begin. Kraken Bo checked off Misha Bale soon after the start. Florentine Bale checked off Misha Bale on the first turn. Misha Bale, Mepunga Isla and Battered Sav collided on the first turn checking Misha Bale. Ivoria Bale galloped on Exhilarating approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Jimmy Turbo checked off Battered Sav entering the home straight. Battered Sav and Exhilarating collided in the home straight.

Mr. G. Connell was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound On Time Cash pursuant to GAR 33.

Foreman checked off Queen Harriet on the first turn. Queen Harriet checked off On Time Cash approaching the home turn. Queen Harriet raced wide in the home straight.

Why Not Kaleb was slow to begin. Flying Bella and Done It Again collided soon after the start checking Done It Again and severely checking Flying Bella. Why Not Kaleb and Done It Again collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Winnie contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Rocket Boy, Done It Again and Step Aside collided on the first turn. Why Not Kaleb and Step Aside collided entering the home straight. Rocket Boy and Step Aside collided approaching the winning post.

Zipping Winnie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
