Zipping Kez, Weblec Storm, Weblec Fury and Aston Barty collided soon after the start checking Weblec Fury and Aston Barty. Zipping Kez and Aston Whitney collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Kez checked off Weblec Storm approaching the first turn. Pansy Parkinson and Aston Whitney collided on the first turn. Zipping Kez and Aston Whitney collided on the first turn. Aston Whitney and Weblec Fury collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Kez marred Madam Malkin approaching the winning post.
Zipping Kez underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Collins, the handler of Zipping Kez, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zipping Kez was charged with marring. Mr Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Kez is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
