Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards altered the closing time of kennelling in accordance with GAR 31, due to the late arrival of several trainers who experienced significant traffic delays on-route to the track. The kennels closed at 6.48pm.

Frainy's Well was slow to begin.

Want It All - Late scratching at 6.39pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Burns was fined $100.

Zipping Kez, Weblec Storm, Weblec Fury and Aston Barty collided soon after the start checking Weblec Fury and Aston Barty. Zipping Kez and Aston Whitney collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Kez checked off Weblec Storm approaching the first turn. Pansy Parkinson and Aston Whitney collided on the first turn. Zipping Kez and Aston Whitney collided on the first turn. Aston Whitney and Weblec Fury collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Kez marred Madam Malkin approaching the winning post.

Zipping Kez underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jake Collins, the handler of Zipping Kez, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zipping Kez was charged with marring. Mr Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Kez is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Legasov Bale and Chun Li collided soon after the start.

Eddie Coin and Untold Soldier collided approaching the first turn checking Eddie Coin. Mepunga Wonder checked off Mighty Max Gone on the first turn. Fernando Bluey, Eddie Coin and Legasov Bale collided on the home turn causing Eddie Coin and Legasov Bale to race wide and checking Chun Li. Untold Soldier and Fernando Bluey collided repeatedly approaching the winning post.

Weblec Spice shifted in soon after the start checking Whisky Hans and Black Mustang. Whisky Hans and Nebraska Nell collided approaching the home turn. Nebraska Nell and Tiggerlong Al collided approaching the home turn. Weblec Spice checked off Tiggerlong Al approaching the home turn causing Black Mustang to race wide as a result. Lap It Up raced wide on the home turn. Bodhi's Bro Kai and Nebraska Nell collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Tickle My Fancy, Mod Squad and Gypsies Luck collided soon after the start checking Mod Squad. Thandie Bale and Tah Matt collided soon after the start. Tickle My Fancy checked off Big Artie Banner on the first turn. Iago Bale and Mod Squad collided on the first turn checking Iago Bale. Tickle My Fancy checked off Tah Matt on the home turn.

Zipping Murphy – Late scratching at 4.18pm when Mr I. Cockerell reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Sarcasmic was slow to begin.

Mick's Legacy and Hadeel Bale collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Sisco Ride and Swift Timing collided approaching the first turn checking Sisco Ride. Bridwood Marshal and Sisco Ride collided on the first turn checking Sisco Ride. With Confidence and Bridwood Marshal collided on the first turn checking Bridwood Marshal. Sarcasmic, Bridwood Marshal and Sisco Ride collided on the home turn checking Sisco Ride. Sarcasmic and Bridwood Marshal collided entering the home straight.

Mr. G. Burns was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Zipping Annabel pursuant to GAR 33.

Run Shifty Run was slow to begin.

Zipping Annabel, Curious Faith and Inga Mia collided soon after the start. Curious Faith, Send It Socks and Brooke's Wings collided on the first turn checking Send It Socks and Brooke's Wings. Headspace - New declared weight 26.6kgs, last raced at 27.8kgs.

Brother Griff and Kipling collided approaching the first turn. Brother Griff checked off Kipling on the first turn. Almapa Berisha contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground checking Saintly Jack and Brother Griff. 

Almapa Berisha underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Trainer Mr L. Kenyon was issued a warning after the greyhound Headspace was negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed in the incorrect kennel post race. 

Club Officials were reminded of their responsibilities to ensure greyhounds are kennelled correctly post race.  This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.

Black Tess - Late scratching at 10.37pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left foreleg toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
